about kids & teens yoga Our yoga courses provide kids with the opportunity to experience the fun of yoga in a safe a nurturing way. It is a non competitive activity and environment. Yoga's fun and non competitive techniques allow kids to develop their concentration, focus their listening skills, develop their imagination, enhance their creativity, build self confidence, and gain body awareness. Kids are encouraged to experience their bodies in motion and stillness. This helps them remain engaged throughout the class and builds their sensory perception within their own changing and growing body. Our yoga courses will help kids to improve their personal body image by teaching them to understand their physical boundaries and abilities, and as a result their natural ability to develop positive self awareness images develops over time. Our kids and teens yoga course are clearly structured which helps the kids to feel safe and grow with the activities offered each week. They will be encouraged to have fun with their imagination while moving their bodies dynamically. Regular practice cultivates strength & flexibility of the body breath and mind, develops balance and co-ordination, supports the healthy growth of right and left brain activity, and creates positive development of their creativity. Time and perseverance enable the gradually development of their endurance ability and self awareness. Breathing is an extremely important aspect of yoga and is given great importance in our courses. Kids learn that breathing techniques and movements can and do help with the challenges they face in their lives. We have experienced that kids and teenagers that attend our classes use the yoga they learn outside class in their every day activities.
